Brazing Powders
By definition Brazing is a soldering process whereby a filler metal or alloy is heated to its melting point and distributed between two or more close-fitting parts by capillary action. At its liquid temperature, the molten filler metal and flux interact with a thin layer of the base metal, cooling to form a strong, sealed joint.
The brazed joint becomes a sandwich of different layers, each metallurgically linked to the adjacent layers.
Womet GmbH supplies brazing powders for brazing and soldering.
Mainly we offer brazing powders for the production of brazing pastes.
The powders are being mixed with a binder and used as paste on parts, finally processed in vacuum brazing or soldered under protective athmospheres.
We divide powders according to their metal base, which are mainly nickel base alloys and copper base alloys.
Additionally we offer several brazing products:
brazing foils, ready-to-use brazing pastes, brazing aids etc.
All powders are manufactured according to international standards and norms, the norm DIN EN 1044 or according to customer specification.
The powder materials can be classified in different grain fractions on demand.
